Privacy Policy

ScoreKeep Pro Last updated: August 22, 2026

The short version

ScoreKeep Pro does not collect your data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. Everything you enter — player names, round names, scores, saved game templates, and your game history — is stored only on your device. We have no servers, and we never see any of it.

This Privacy Policy explains how Samuel Smith ("we", "us", or "our"), operating as Smith Peaks Creations, handles information in the ScoreKeep Pro mobile application (the "App"). Please read it carefully.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address, name, or any other identifying information in order to use it. The App contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking software development kits (SDKs), and no third-party code of any kind. We do not receive usage data, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or location data from the App.

Diagnostics provided by Apple

iOS includes a system-level setting that lets you share diagnostic and usage information with the developers of the apps you use. If you have enabled that setting on your device, Apple may make aggregated crash logs and usage statistics available to us through Apple's developer tools. This information is collected by Apple rather than by the App, is provided to us in aggregate, and is not linked to your identity. You can turn it off at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Apple's handling of this information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Information You Store in the App

The App is a scorecard for the games you play. As you use it, you may enter information such as:

  • The names you give the players in a game, and any players you save for reuse
  • The scores you record for each player in each round
  • The names of the rounds on a scorecard, and the game templates you save
  • Your finished game history, including who played, the scores, and who won
  • Any game still in progress, so that it is waiting for you when you reopen the App
  • Your preferences, such as whether the lowest score wins

All of this information is stored locally on your device, in the App's own private storage area. It is not transmitted to us, and it is not transmitted to anyone else. We have no ability to access, view, or retrieve it.

The names you type onto a scorecard are for your own use, and the App treats them simply as text. First names, nicknames, or initials all work equally well — not because we would ever see them, but because there is no reason for your device to hold more than you need.

Sharing a Scorecard

The App lets you share a finished scorecard, as an image or as a spreadsheet file. Nothing is shared unless you tap share and choose a destination yourself in the standard iOS share sheet. Once you do, the file is handed to whichever app you selected — Messages, Mail, Photos, or anything else — and is then governed by that app's own privacy policy. We are not involved in that step and receive no copy of it.

Rating the App

After you finish a game, the App may ask iOS to present Apple's standard review prompt, and the Settings screen includes a "Rate the App" option that does the same thing on demand. The prompt, and any rating or review you write, is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see which users were shown the prompt or how any individual responded. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Internet Access

The App does not send your information over the internet. It makes no network requests to our servers, because we do not operate any servers for the App. It works fully offline, which is rather the point — it is built for a kitchen table or the back of a cabin. The only outbound actions are ones you start yourself: opening this policy in your browser, sharing a scorecard, or contacting support.

Contacting Support

The App includes an option to email us for support, which opens your device's mail composer with our support address and a version tag already filled in. Nothing is sent until you send it. If you do choose to write to us, we will see your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use that only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list.

iCloud

The current version of the App does not sync your data to iCloud; your information stays on the single device where you entered it. If a future version of the App offers iCloud sync, your data would be stored in your own private iCloud database under your Apple Account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Data in a private iCloud database is accessible only to you — we would not be able to see or access it. Any such feature would be optional, and this policy would be updated before it ships.

Purchases

The App is free and does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. If a future version does, purchases would be processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We would never receive or have access to your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

How Your Information Is Shared

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information, because we never receive it in the first place. There are no service providers, advertising partners, data brokers, or affiliates with access to your data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control of it. You can edit or delete individual scores, players, templates, and past games from within the App at any time, and every total and record recalculates from what remains. Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all of the data it stored. We hold no copy of your data and therefore have nothing to delete on our end.

If your device is backed up through iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup, the App's data may be included in that backup. Those backups are managed by Apple and by you, not by us.

Security

Your information is protected by the security of your device. Data stored by the App resides in the App's sandboxed storage, which iOS isolates from other apps, and is protected by your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID along with the device's built-in encryption. We recommend keeping a passcode enabled and keeping iOS up to date.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App collects no information at all, no personal information from a child can be transmitted to us. Children may well be among the players named on a scorecard during a family game night; that information stays on the device it was entered on and never reaches us.

Your Rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to know whether it is sold or shared. Because we do not collect or process any of your personal data, we hold nothing to disclose, correct, delete, or transfer. You can exercise complete control over your information directly within the App and on your device. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we have never done so.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and believe your privacy rights have been infringed, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the App gains new features. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes to how information is handled will be reflected here before the corresponding feature is released. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
