Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Samuel Smith ("we", "us", or "our"), operating as Smith Peaks Creations, handles information in the Home Centered mobile application (the "App"). Please read it carefully.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address, name, or any other identifying information in order to use it. The App contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking software development kits (SDKs), and no third-party code of any kind. We do not receive usage data, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or location data from the App.

Diagnostics provided by Apple

iOS includes a system-level setting that lets you share diagnostic and usage information with the developers of the apps you use. If you have enabled that setting on your device, Apple may make aggregated crash logs and usage statistics available to us through Apple's developer tools. This information is collected by Apple rather than by the App, is provided to us in aggregate, and is not linked to your identity. You can turn it off at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Apple's handling of this information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Information You Store in the App

The App is a tool for tracking home maintenance and cleaning. As you use it, you may enter information such as:

• One or more homes, each with a name you choose and the kind of property it is (primary, secondary, or rental)
• Maintenance tasks, schedules, notes, and reminders
• A history of completed tasks, including dates and any costs you record
• Cleaning rooms you name yourself, the tasks within them, an optional weekly plan, and a record of each time a room was cleaned
• Photos you optionally attach to a completed maintenance task, such as a receipt or proof of work
• Your notification and app preferences

All of this information is stored locally on your device, in the App's own private storage area. It is not transmitted to us, and it is not transmitted to anyone else. We have no ability to access, view, or retrieve it.

Photos

The App lets you optionally attach a photo to a completed maintenance task. When you do, iOS presents its standard photo picker, and only the specific image you select is shared with the App. The App does not request access to your full photo library, and it cannot browse, read, or upload your photos on its own. Any photo you attach is saved locally alongside that task and never leaves your device.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device using the iOS notification system. These are generated entirely on your device. No push notification server is involved, and no information about your tasks or reminders is sent anywhere.

A reminder's text includes the name of the task, and the name of the home it belongs to once you have more than one, so that the notification makes sense on your Lock Screen. That text is composed on your device and delivered by iOS locally. The App also reads whether you have granted notification permission, so it can tell you when reminders are switched off rather than silently sending nothing; that check happens on your device and its result is not recorded anywhere outside it.

The cleaning section of the App sends no notifications at all.

Internet Access

The App does not send your information over the internet. It makes no network requests to our servers, because we do not operate any servers for the App.

Two things in the App hand off to another app rather than making a request themselves: the links to this policy and to our support address open in your browser or mail app, and the CSV export is passed to the iOS share sheet for you to send where you choose. In each case nothing leaves your device until you act, and nothing reaches us except an email you deliberately write to us.

iCloud

The current version of the App does not sync your data to iCloud; your information stays on the single device where you entered it. If a future version of the App offers iCloud sync, your data would be stored in your own private iCloud database under your Apple Account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Data in a private iCloud database is accessible only to you — we would not be able to see or access it. Any such feature would be optional, and this policy would be updated before it ships.

Purchases

The current version of the App does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. If a future version does, purchases would be processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We would never receive or have access to your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Exporting Your Data

The App can export your maintenance and cleaning records to a CSV file. The file is generated on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet, so that you choose what happens to it — saving it to Files, emailing it to yourself, or sending it to another app. Nothing is uploaded to us, and we have no visibility into where you send it. Once you share the file with another app or service, that copy is governed by that recipient's own terms and privacy policy rather than by this one.

How Your Information Is Shared

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information, because we never receive it in the first place. There are no service providers, advertising partners, data brokers, or affiliates with access to your data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control of it. You can archive or delete individual homes, tasks, cleaning rooms, completion records, and photos from within the App at any time. Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all of the data it stored. We hold no copy of your data and therefore have nothing to delete on our end.

If your device is backed up through iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup, the App's data may be included in that backup. Those backups are managed by Apple and by you, not by us.

Security

Your information is protected by the security of your device. Data stored by the App resides in the App's sandboxed storage, which iOS isolates from other apps, and is protected by your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID along with the device's built-in encryption. We recommend keeping a passcode enabled and keeping iOS up to date.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App collects no information at all, no personal information from a child can be transmitted to us.

Your Rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to know whether it is sold or shared. Because we do not collect or process any of your personal data, we hold nothing to disclose, correct, delete, or transfer. You can exercise complete control over your information directly within the App and on your device. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we have never done so.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and believe your privacy rights have been infringed, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the App gains new features. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes to how information is handled will be reflected here before the corresponding feature is released. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Who We Are

Home Centered is published by Samuel Smith, an independent developer based in Utah, United States, operating as Smith Peaks Creations. For the purposes of the GDPR and similar privacy laws, Samuel Smith is the data controller responsible for the App. In practice, the App is designed so that there is no personal data for us to control: we operate no servers and receive no information from it.
